First, we throw some ground beef and pork into a giant bowl and mix in salt, pepper, and some other secret Pasta Pantry ingredients. We use a ratio of 3 parts beef and 1 part pork to create that tender, meaty texture and consistency. Once that’s taken care of, we start shaping them into those perfect little balls you’ve probably seen in the restaurant and on other people’s plates. We make sure they’re evenly rolled before we put them to cook.

Oven Roasted Italian Sausage: Pasta Pantry Edition

When was the last time you’ve enjoyed some sausage with your Pasta Pantry meal? You might have had some other types like Kielbasa or Bratwurst before, but those varieties can’t compare to the almighty Italian sausage. Pasta Pantry is confident that once you try our over roasted Italian sausage, you’ll never go back for another kind ever again.

Pasta Pantry’s Italian sausages come from a local deli in Edmonton’s Little Italy area. This was a conscious decision by our team: we wanted to give our hungry customers those big Italian flavours that we grew up with while still supporting a great local organization. The result has been a win-win for everyone, especially all the hungry Edmonton and Sherwood Park residents out there.

Our process for making those juicy Italian sausages may look hard, but it’s really simple. We start by roasting them with tons of onions (is there such thing as an Italian meal without onions?) to develop those wonderful aromas.


But wait, there’s more! Those delicious sausages then go into a beautiful bath of sauce with some green peppers, red peppers, and some other secret spices that you’ll enjoy. When they mix together, the sausages pick up the extra flavor of everything in the mixture, resulting in a mouthful of deliciousness that fit with our motto of “Real Food, Real Fresh, Real Fast!”

Pasta Pantry Brings Gluten Free Foods to Cravings!

Cravings was a huge success! Now in its 3rd year, the event brings together local eateries that offer gluten free foods for those working with intolerances and Celiac disease and is quickly becoming a popular event in Sherwood Park. The event took place at the Strathcona Community Centre this past Sunday and Pasta Pantry was proud to share our love for home cooked Italian eats.

We were honoured to sponsor the event and show everyone who attended how much we appreciate the support of the community. But just because Cravings promotes gluten free and Celiac friendly foods, that doesn’t mean the regular eaters weren’t satisfied.

We brought our passion of Italian food to all of the hungry people at Cravings and were amazed by the amount of people that stopped and said hi! On the menu at the Pasta Pantry booth were our signature items: the classic Pasta Pantry Mac and our refreshing Caesar salad. We can’t believe how many samples were enjoyed and how many people got to experience “Real Food, Real Fresh, Real Fast!”


With an international selection ranging from Indian and Asian cuisine to frozen desserts, the best part of Cravings was getting to see all of the smiling faces that loved the food!

Most customers may be familiar with Italian essentials like pasta and meatballs, but some of our more casual diners might not know about the pasticcio, a food item that every person needs to try at least once.
